Simple tips for coloring bugs with little ones

Print more than one. A fresh copy means they can try again without any worry about mistakes.
Talk about the colors. Fireflies glow yellow, ladybugs are red, bees are yellow and black — naming colors as you go builds early words.
Let them lead. A purple firefly is a wonderful firefly. There is no wrong way to color.
Use chunky crayons. Thicker crayons are easier for small hands to hold and control.
